Created by Lin & Barrett Lingerie many years ago, Lotus Silk features high quality silk camisoles, silk nighties, lace-trimmed chemises, slips, robes and PJs.
Does Lotus Silk compare to Ginia silk, Simone Perele silk and Love and Lustre Silk?
We think it's better. At The Foundation, we maintain a higher weight of silk compared with some of our competitors and take care to finish our garments with quality embellishments like buttons, piping, adjustable straps and fine stitching. We encourage you to try Lotus Silk as an alternative to mainstream brands. Our Lin & Barrett customers who have been buying Lotus silk over the last 10 years, return every few years to buy more.
Why you should choose silk lingerie over other fabrics
Silk is a luxurious and natural fiber prized for its softness, smooth texture, and breathable qualities. It has an elegant sheen and lightweight feel, and offers unmatched comfort while being hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin. One of the standout characteristics of silk is its ability to regulate body temperature, keeping you cool in warm weather and warm during cooler nights. Additionally, silk is highly durable when cared for properly, especially our high-quality 19 momme silk as used in our Lotus Silk collection at The Foundation Lingerie. Its moisture-wicking properties help maintain skin hydration, while its natural strength ensures long-lasting beauty. Choose silk for its luxurious texture, hypoallergenic benefits, and timeless elegance—perfect for enhancing any wardrobe.
How to care for your Lotus Silk PJs & Nighties
We recommend gentle hand washing your silk night dresses, slips and silk pyjamas in cold water with a mild detergent specifically formulated for delicate fabrics such as Bon Savvy's Silk Savvy Wash. Do not wring or twist the fabric; instead, gently press out excess water with a clean, dry towel. Lay silk flat, on a dry towel in the shade to avoid fading. If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and iron on the underside of the silk nightie or use a protective cloth.
